My MLM tips are usually short, inspiring videos that I pick up somewhere along the way and feel are must-sees. This is one of them – and I have to admit I didn’t find it myself, but got it in an email from Ty Tribble who a leading MLM blogger. So, checking out his stuff is also well-worth your time.

Just go ahead and watch the Seth Godin leadership video now. I’ll summarize it just below the video but you just need to watch it. . .it’s just a little over 15 minutes and touches on all the main points of succeeding in MLM (or really, any kind of business) today.

If you don’t know who Seth Godin is, he is, among other amazing things, the guy who coined the phrase “permission marketing” which has changed how we market and sell things today. He has also written several books that have been translated into numerous languages, and he is a very entertaining and inspirational public speaker.

He speaks in this video about the tribes we lead (or we should lead). He emphasizes the extremely important point about creating a movement, and examples of what that means and why it is essential to our success. We create a movement by (1) telling a story to people who want to hear it (2) by connecting a tribe of people who are desperate to be connected (3) and therefore leading a movement, and (4) making change.

He poses three questions at the end of the video:
1. Who are you upsetting?
2. Who are you connecting?
3. Who are you leading?
